January 2012
We have had a great response to our appeal asking for PPG members, and will start to work with them as a 'virtual' group. This means it is easier to get everyones views without the need to attend a meeting or come to the practice.
We are currently planning our next patient survey, and in order to ensure that we ask our patients the right questions, we have contacted our PPG group via email and asked them to rank a number of issues based on priority for them as individuals.
We will collate the results and then select the issue that is most important and base our next survey around this subject.
If you would like to join the PPG please complete the online form available from the PPG Home page.
February 2012
We now have the results of our email to the PPG members asking for their views on areas of priority for us to focus on within our next patient survey.
We had 126 members that were emailed and recieved 47 responses ( 37%)
We asked them to prioritise the following areas.
-
Communication between the practice and it's patients
-
Information available to patients and their carers
-
Telephone answering and access
-
Developing and managing self care for patients and their carers
-
Relationships between the practice team and patients.
The area that was voted as most important by most people was telephone access and answering.
We will therefore be using this as the focus for our next patient survey.
The survey is now live. You can complete one by using the link on the website home page or by filling in a hard copy available at the practice.
