Antihistamines for Hayfever will not be prescribed by the clinical team. Last year Bucks PCT spent over £500,000 on hayfever medication and would rather use this to fund drugs for chronic conditions such as heart disease or cancer. We are supporting the PCTs decision and WILL NOT be prescribing antihistamines for hayfever sufferers. If you require this medication, you will need to obtain it from your local pharmacy or supermarket, or use one of the online deals available. A leaflet is available from the practices giving this weeks best deals and other useful advice. More info can be found under the Hayfever tab on the right hand side ofthe home page.

For information on work that does not form core NHS requirements, and is chargeable to patients, please look under the 'Clinics & Services' tab, then 'Non NHS Charges'.

H1N1 Swine Flu vaccine is advised for travellers to the Southern Hemisphere during their flu season. Please check with our travel nurses. More information can be found under the tab 'Clinics and Services' above.

Please remember that the Dispensary at Wendover Health Centre is open 6.30-8pm on Tuesday and 8.30am-10.30am on Saturday.

If you are a dispensing patient, please ask our dispensary staff about our repeat collection service.

Awarding Organistaions make no requirements for pupils to obtain a sick certificate or letter from a Doctor in support of an application for special consideration. See Clinics & Services - Non NHS Charges for further information.

Westongrove Partnership have recently joined N.A.P.P. ( National Association for Patient Participation) and will be looking to set up a PPG at each of our surgeries.

Ideally we would like a mix of patients covering all ages, both male and female.

A PPG can:

  • Offer patient feedback about their experiences with the surgery
  • Help the practice improve their services
  • Help the practice make the best use of their resources
  • Improve communication
  • Help to promote good health
  • Influence decisions about which services are provided
  • Offer practical support to the practice

A PPG isn’t:

  • A forum for complaints
  • A fundraising organisation
  • A time consuming activity

We hope to have a core group that will meet with the practice team a few times a year.  We also wish to create a much larger group of patients whom we can contact via email periodically in order to ask a question or two and gain valuable feedback

You can register your interest in joining the PPG by completing the form here

We are very lucky to have two fundraising groups, called The Friends of  Bedgrove Surgery and the Friends of Wendover Health Centre. If you are interested in joining them, please let the reception team know next time you visit the surgery, or let us know via our 'Contact Us' button on the left hand side menu.

We look forward to hearing from you.
