How to Request a Repeat Prescription

If you are on regular medication and require a prescription, you can request your medication in the following ways.

Please allow 5-7 working days for your prescription to be processed by the surgery.

Aston Clinton Surgery

You can order your repeat prescriptions by either:

  • Via our online form.
  • Leaving your request slip in the repeat prescription boxes available in the reception foyer.
  • Post – you will need to supply a stamped addressed envelope.

Due to patient demand from some Aston Clinton Surgery patients, we have now added Lloyds at Jansel Square, Bedgrove as an option when choosing your pharmacy of choice for collection when requesting your prescription online via the website. Please note that if you choose this option your script will take a day or two longer as the prescription will be transported using our internal mail system.

Bedgrove Surgery

You can order your repeat prescriptions by either:

  • Via our online form.
  • In person at reception or by leaving request slip in the Repeat Prescription Boxes in the surgery.
  • Post – you will need to supply a stamped addressed envelope.

Wendover Health Centre

You can order your repeat prescriptions by either:

  • Via our online form.
  • In person by leaving your request slip in the repeat prescription boxes available in the reception foyer.
  • Post – you will need to supply a stamped addressed envelope.
  • If you are a Dispensing Patient, please ask our Dispensary about our repeat prescription service which may help to reduce the number of trips you make to the surgery.

Wendover Health Centre are allowed to dispense medication to patients who live further than 1 crow mile from the local pharmacy and Health Centre in a rural area. These patients are known as ‘Dispensing Patients’. Please let us know if you would like to use this facility. If you live within 1 crow mile of the local pharmacy then we cannot dispense your medication for you.

We are also able to dispense medication to temporary patients. In order to ensure that patients are able to access Health Centre appointments we may register a patient temporarily whilst waiting for proof of identification and address – as such we are able to dispense to the patient. Once this has been obtained we then change the status to permanent, if your address is less than 1 crow mile from the chemist and surgery then we are no longer able to dispense to you.

Review Dates

If you have a regular prescription for the same medicine, please order repeats in plenty of time. Every patient who has medication on repeat prescription is given a review date, which is printed on their repeat slip. The purpose of this is for us to make sure that the medication is still working, that it is not causing any problems, and that it is still needed. It is important for your own wellbeing that you attend for this review.
